Terms of Service

1 Introduction

1.1 These Terms of Service govern your use of the nutrition coaching services and cooking class services provided by Lentils and Lemons ("we," "our," "us").

1.2 By accessing or using our services, you agree to comply with these Terms.

2 Services Provided

2.1 We offer online nutrition coaching and virtual or in-person cooking classes.

2.2 We also offer other food related services on request.

2.3 Services may include personalised nutrition plans, guidance, and support via email, video calls, or other online communication tools.

3 Client Responsibilities

3.1 You must provide accurate and up-to-date information for your coaching sessions.

3.2 You agree to follow the guidance provided by your coach and notify us of any changes to your health status or dietary restrictions.

3.3 You agree to truthfully complete all paperwork and provide accurate information on your existing health conditions prior to commencing coaching services.

3.4 Where required, you will discuss concerns with your General Practitioner (GP, Doctor) or specialist allied health professional for further support.

3.5 You understand that nutrition coaching services provided by Lentils and Lemons (“we,” “our,” “us”) will not replace medical advice by an allied health professional and is not clinical.

3.6 You agree to read and understand terms of service for each product before commencing coaching to avoid doubt.

3.7 You understand that nutrition coaching is limited to providing you with the motivation, guidance, nutrition education and support to reach your goals. Clients with complex clinical pathologies are out of scope and require specialist medical attention.

4 Payment and Fees

4.1 All fees for services are outlined on our website and must be paid in full before accessing any services.

4.2 Fees are processed using the online Stripe terminal.

4.3 Your credit card will be debited for the Fees under these Terms and Conditions and as per the product or service terms.

4.4 Failure to pay for services on the date of debit will result in cancellation of services through Lentils and Lemons (“we,” “our,” “us”).

4.5 Payments are non-refundable or non-exchangeable unless otherwise specified in service terms.

4.6 In extenuating circumstances (grievances, hospitalisation) these terms can be reconsidered.

5 Cancellation and Rescheduling

5.1 Cancellations or rescheduling of sessions must be made at least 12 hours in advance.

5.2 Failure to provide adequate notice may result in forfeiting the session and losing the full fee.

6 Health Disclaimer

6.1 Our services are not a substitute for medical advice or treatment.

6.2 Always consult with a healthcare provider, General Practitioner (GP) or specialist allied health professional where it is required or where Lentils and Lemons  (“we,” “our,” “us”) recommends that you do, particularly before making any significant changes to your diet or lifestyle.

6.3 If you have not visited a health care provider or General Practitioner (GP) for a general health check in the last 6-12 months, Lentils and Lemons  (“we,” “our,” “us”), will require you to do so and provide evidence before commencing coaching.

7 Privacy and Confidentiality

7.1 We respect your privacy and will not share your personal information without consent, except as required by law.

7.2 Your data will be used solely for the purpose of providing our services.

8 Intellectual Property

8.1 All content provided, including coaching materials, recipes, and educational resources, is the intellectual property of Lentils and Lemons  (“we,” “our,” “us”) and is protected by copyright law.

9 Limitation of Liability

9.1 By booking a coaching service, you confirm that you have seen a General Practitioner (GP), doctor, have identified any potential health issues, and have been given the all-clear to pursue nutrition coaching, as there are no existing medical concerns requiring attention by an allied health professional. 

9.2 By booking a coaching service, you confirm you have seen a General Practitioner (GP) or Doctor in the last 6-12 months.

9.3 By using our services, you agree to assume full responsibility for your health and wellbeing.

9.4 You unconditionally release Lentils and Lemons (“we,” “our,” “us”) from any liability and claims arising from personal injury, illness, death, or loss or damage, both present and future.

9.5 To the extent permitted by law, all implied warranties, guarantees, and terms in connection with these Terms and Conditions are excluded.

9.6 Lentils and Lemons' liability, where it cannot be excluded by law, is limited to:
(a) The provision of equivalent services or a refund of any amount paid by the Member for those services.
(b) Re-performing the relevant services (e.g., nutrition coaching or cooking classes), or refunding any amount paid by the Member for those services.

9.7 To the extent permitted by law, Lentils and Lemons (“we,” “our,” “us”) excludes any liability to a Member (whether under contract, tort, statute, equity, or indemnity) for any indirect, special, or consequential loss or damage, including but not limited to loss of opportunity, loss of profit or revenue, loss under any third-party arrangements, or other losses not reasonably considered to arise naturally from the relevant breach, event, fact, matter, or circumstance.

9.8 To the extent permitted by law, Lentils and Lemons (“we,” “our,” “us”) aggregate maximum liability to the Member arising from these Terms and Conditions (whether under contract, tort, statute, equity, or indemnity) is limited to the Fees paid by the Member for services provided in the previous 6 months.

10 Amendments

10.1 We may update these Terms of Service at any time. You will be notified of significant changes via email or website notice.
